‘Over The Edge’
The Heights Foundation will host an
Altitude Adjustment Party to kick
off the Over The Edge Rappelling
event on Friday, October 23 from
5:30 to 8 p.m . at The Hyatt Regency
Coconut Point in Bonita Springs.
Tickets are $75 per person.
Guests will enjoy a “liquid courage”
cocktail, hors d’oeuvres, music, live and
silent auction items and have the oppor-
tunity to watch local celebrities rappel 17
stories down the Hyatt. One lucky attend-
ee will win a spot to go “Over The Edge”
on Saturday. Dress is resort casual.

Rotary Club’s Italian Fest Calls
For Best Marinara Submissions
The Rotary Club of Fort Myers returns to the Alliance for the Arts on Sunday,
October 25 for Italian Fest, sponsored by the Tri-Circle Pavers.
Back by popular demand is the Marinara Contest, judged by a friendly panel
including Rotarian Bill Valenti, and Rachel Pierce and Natasha Verma from NBC-2.
A marinara sauce is a highly seasoned tomato sauce made with garlic and/or other
such ingredients such as onions, parsley, olives, etc. but contains no meat. Homemade
sauces may be entered by individuals until 12:30 p.m. during Italian Fest on October
25. Preregistration is strongly suggested by completing an entry form and sending your
entry fee of $10 to Rotary Club of Fort Myers, 2101 McGregor Blvd., Suite 102, Fort
Myers, FL 33901. Prizes include $50 for first place, $25 for second place and a res-
taurant gift certificate for third place. Sauces must be delivered to the festival grounds
on October 25 in a pint size non-returnable container.

Italian Fest 2015 will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Alliance for the Arts,
10091 McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers, on the corner of McGregor and Colonial.
Blankets and chairs are allowed, however, coolers are prohibited. Event proceeds will
benefit Lee County Public Schools’ Take Stock In Children Program and the Fort
Myers Rotary Trust Fund.
