Love That Dress! And Goodwill, Too
Event Collects Donations And Funds
Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida hosted PACE Center for Girls, Lee
for an evening of fun, fashion, and fundraising. The Love That Dress! &
Goodwill, Too collection event was held on July 16 at the Goodwill Boutique
on First in the River District. The event collected 50 dresses for PACE’s Love That
“We are really thankful for everyone that came to the Boutique for this event and
who assisted in making this event a success,” said Goodwill spokesperson Madison
Mitchell. “Events like these are really such a fun way for the community to support our
organizations. Who doesn’t want to party for a cause?”
Attendees were encouraged to bring both a gently loved dress for Love That Dress!
and other items for Goodwill.
“Each year, the community awareness and support of our partnership grows,” said
Meg M. Geltner, executive director of PACE, Lee. “This year’s event was a wonderful
night for both, with a record number of attendees donating and shopping for a great
cause. We want to thank all those involved for generously giving of their time and tal-

handed out to the winner. There was also a raffle, with the proceeds raised being split
between Goodwill and PACE.
“The scavenger hunt was a new addition this year,” added Mitchell. “Although I got
a little too into it and forgot where I hid the last certificate, so we just did a drawing for
it. It was a fun night. We’re already looking forward to 2016.”

All proceeds from Love That
Dress!7 will benefit PACE Center
for Girls, Lee County. PACE is a
non-residential program targeting
the unique needs of girls, ages 12
to 18, facing challenges such as physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, sub-
stance abuse, foster care, neglect, death of a parent, family history of incarceration,
truancy and declining grades.

Women In Business To Present
APEX Circle Power Panel August 5
The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Women in Business (WIB) will
host its next networking meeting from 4 to 6 p.m . on Wednesday, August 5
at Keiser University, 9100 Forum Corporate Way in Fort Myers.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with past and pres-
ent WIB APEX recipients. The APEX panel will include Gail Markham, Markham
Norton Mosteller Wright & Company P.A.; Melissa Cofta, Priority Marketing; Heather
Christie, Evolve Global; Sarah Owen, Southwest Florida Community Foundation; and
Connie Ramos-Williams, CONRIC PR & Marketing.
Keiser University is the event sponsor, with Spectrum Recovery Solutions as the
scholarship sponsor. The non-profit spotlight will highlight the SWFL Community
Foundation. All business professionals are invited to attend.
