In the months leading up to the main
event, members of the Southwest Florida
community are asked to donate new and
“gently loved” dresses and accessories at
collection parties and convenient drop-off
locations across the county. Collection
parties hosted by generous local busi-
nesses and organizations are a way to
connect with community members and
sample the local fare, all while collecting
inventory, raising funds and generating
awareness for the main event.
The final dress collection party is
the Six Bends Harley-Davidson’s Lucky
Number 7 Casino Finale on Friday,
August 7 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Six Bends
Harley-Davidson, located at 9501
Thunder Road in Fort Myers.
During the main event, attendees will
enjoy the huge inventory with friends,
a silent auction full of unique packages,
and cocktails. Suite and VIP ticket hold-
ers are granted access to early shopping,
private dressing rooms, clothing holds,
express check-out service, complimentary
adult beverages, hors d’oeuvres and a
private selection of decadent chocolates.
VIP Suite owners will also receive a com-
plimentary style and personal shopping
experience by Christine Sherlock of Image
Matters. Limited VIP Suites are still avail-
able for purchase. Tickets for the main

County. PACE is a non-residential pro-
gram targeting the unique needs of girls,
ages 12 to 18, facing challenges such
as physical and sexual abuse, domestic
violence, substance abuse, foster care,
neglect, death of a parent, family history
of incarceration, truancy and declining

Tour And Lunch
The Kennedy Kruisers are off to
the historical Columbia Restaurant
in Ybor City on Saturday, August
22. Bus trip participants should arrive
by 7:45 a.m. prior to the departure at
8 a.m. The approximate return time to
Cape Coral is 6:30 p.m.
Founded in 1905, the Columbia
Restaurant is full of fascinating history.
Join us as we embark on a historical
tour and enjoy a Dutch treat lunch at
this Florida gem. This is a great sum-
mer indoor excursion for all family and
friends. Quality coach transportation and
a delicious buffet breakfast are included.
Cost is $48 per member and $53 per

The public is welcome to attend the
Lee County Genealogical Society,
Inc. meeting on Thursday, August
20. The meeting will take place at the
Cypress Lakes Presbyterian Church
Fellowship Hall, located at 8260 Cypress
Lake Drive in Fort Myers. Doors open at
12:30 p.m .
Members will share various experienc-
es and discoveries in their genealogical
quests and some of their Aha! moments.

Pilot Club Installs 2015-16 Officers
The Pilot Club of Fort Myers installed officers and directors for 2015-16 during
the July 14 meeting, held at the Whiskey Creek Country Club.
President Patsy Tortora has selected Pilots Light The Way as the theme for
this year’s club activities.
The focus of the Pilot Club of Fort Myers is helping organizations seeking to
improve the quality of life for individuals with brain-related disorders through volunteer
